Beauty Therapists are able to travel the world as Australian Beauty Therapists are highly sought after in Europe and the US and especially on cruise ships where you can see the world for free and make money at the same time! Beauty Therapists can work in film, stage and television and rub shoulders with the stars or do makeup for photo shoots, catwalk and weddings. Another career path in the Beauty Therapy industry is to become a teacher/facilitator in a Beauty academy and have the joy of mentoring the next generation of therapists.

 

SIB20110 Certificate II in Retail Make-up and Skin Care

This course forms part of the Certificate III in Beauty Services course.

Would you like to become a make-up artist? Learn professional make-up application to give you the skills to become a makeup artist. Students will have the opportunity to do make-up for fashion parades and events during the year, working with our Hairdressing students and also perform make-up for guest clients of all ages throughout the year.

Focusing on fashion, glamour and photographic makeup, this course guides students through the basics and onto the more advanced techniques required for work in these industries.

How will this course advance my career?

Upon completion of the Certificate II in Retail Make-Up and Skin Care program offered by BHA, you will be equipped with the education and training to work in a range of environments, including pharmacies, large department stores, health resorts and salons.

SIB20210 Certificate II in Nail Technology

The Certificate II in Nail Technology program offered by the Beauty & Hair academy of Australia is designed to give you the education and training to launch your career as a nail technician.

Nail technicians or manicurists perform services such as manicures, pedicures and more advanced nail procedures such as acrylic nail applications and custom nail designs. The accredited Certificate II in Nail Technology course provides training in manicures and pedicures, nail art, advanced nail techniques such as sculptured nails, extension tips, overlays and French acrylic nails, gel nails, and bacteriology.

How will this course advance my career?

Nail services are a growing industry. Licensed nail technicians can work in full-service beauty salons or specialised nail salons. After completing this advanced nail technology course, you will have the training to be able to gain employment in a salon, beauty clinic or health resort.

SIB30110 Certificate III in Beauty Services

Certificate III in Beauty Services is suitable for people wanting to work in a salon to provide fundamental beauty services such asmakeup application (natural, day, bridal, glamour, evening, photography, dark skin etc), Mini facials and basic skin care, nail treatments (including manicure and pedicure and acrylic nail enhancements), temporary epilation & bleaching (waxing and hair removal) treatments and sales and merchandising skills for beauty products.

How will this course advance my career?

Upon completion of the Certificate III in Beauty Services program offered by BHA you will have the practical skills to gain employment as a beautician. The structure of the certificate course also allows you to further your education by progressing to a Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

SIB40110 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy

The Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy WRB40105 has been designed to develop the first line management skills of those working in the beauty industry. It applies to those who are co-ordinating or managing the services within a small beauty salon, or a section or department within a larger store.

During the course students will have the opportunity to work with customers in the beauty and facial environment, performing treatments under supervision and guidance from the trainers including makeup application (natural, day, bridal, glamour, evening, photography, dark skin etc), Advanced facials and skin care using machinery, nail treatments (including manicure and pedicure), temporary epilation & bleaching (waxing and hair removal) treatments and sales and merchandising skills for beauty products.

Our students also participate in work placement during their study with us, which again offers students more valuable experience in the beauty industry.

How will this course advance my career?

As a graduate of this certificate program you will have the education and training to pursue employment in beauty therapy at a salon or resort, or as a technician. Working in the beauty industry is an exciting and dynamic career that could take you around the world.

You will be eligible to receive the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy on successful completion of all required competencies.

If partial completion is achieved by a student, a Statement of Attainment (achievement) is issued.

SIB50110 Diploma of Beauty Therapy

The Diploma of Beauty Therapy is the highest accredited qualification in the industry and will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience to be a great beauty therapist and a future leader in our industry.

During the course students will have the opportunity to work with customers in the beauty and facial environment, performing treatments under supervision and guidance from the trainers. Spa and laser treatments are the latest trend in the beauty industry and are a rapidly expanding market, by training students in the latest spa and laser treatments available BHA is opening the door for a wide range of employment opportunities for its students. Our students also participate in work placement during their study with us, which again offers students more valuable experience in the beauty & spa industry.

Diploma of Beauty Therapy students will have a range of future employment prospects. You may choose to work as beauty therapists, spa therapists or salon manager. You will be able to work in medical clinics, cosmetic surgeries and assist dermatologists. Specialising in the corporate marketing, buying or selling of retail products is also a possible career path.

How will this course advance my career?

Graduates of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy program offered by AIAS will have the education and training to work as professional beauty therapists. You will have the skills and knowledge to work in all areas of the beauty industry, including day spas, resorts and cruise ships. The comprehensive education you will receive will also open the doors for you to pursue a career as a make-up artist or beauty technician.

You will be eligible to receive the Diploma of Beauty Therapy on successful completion of all required competencies.

CIDESCO Qualifications

Students who are doing the Diploma of Beauty Therapy are eligible to sit for the CIDESCO International Diploma. This exam is not compulsory and will be an additional cost to those students who want to take the exam. This Diploma is recognised in over 33 countries around the world and will open up doors for you if you wish to travel upon completion of the Diploma.
